Tried upgrading to Windows 11 and everything runs smoothly… until it hits 99% and just sits there forever. No error, no crash — just silence. Has anyone actually made it past 99% without doing a full reset or clean install?
My PC meets all the requirements for Windows 11 and even shows the “Ready to upgrade” message — but the update either hangs, restarts, or never finishes installing. Anyone else stuck in this weird limbo? Would love to hear if someone figured out a fix or trick.
Hey everyone,
I wanted to start a thread around something that’s probably on a lot of our minds lately — Windows 10 reaching end of support in October 2025.
I’ve been using Windows 10 for years and honestly, it’s been one of the most stable and familiar systems for me. But with Microsoft...
If your download only contains an .img file, it's a disk image. You’ll need to right-click and mount it (on Windows), then run the setup.exe from the mounted virtual drive. The activator won’t work unless the Office suite is properly installed first. Let me know if you don’t see a setup file...
I had the same issue recently — stuck at 99% for hours. Copying the Media folder from C:\$GetCurrent to the desktop, restarting, and then running setup.exe manually worked perfectly for me. Just make sure hidden files are visible. Also, check for driver updates after the upgrade — saved me a ton...
Hey everyone,
I’m getting ready to upgrade a few machines to Windows 11 Pro (finally making the jump ), and I’m torn between doing a clean install or just going the in-place upgrade route.
A bit of context:
Most of these systems are running Windows 10 Pro
Some are workstations with heavy...
Hey!
I totally get what you mean. Windows 11 does look sleek and has some neat improvements, but those quirks—like Taskbar glitches or random network drops—can be super frustrating.
For me, the official Microsoft support is sometimes slow or generic, so I usually turn to community forums...
Thanks for the warm welcome and the detailed response!
I’ll definitely try grabbing the chipset and GPU drivers directly from the manufacturer’s site — good call. I’ll also dig into the Event Viewer logs to see if anything stands out around the freeze times.
Rolling back or doing an in-place...
Hey everyone,
I'm new here, so apologies if this is in the wrong section – mods, feel free to move it!
I recently updated my laptop (Auronix SwiftBook 15X) to the latest Windows 11 patch (version 24H2, I believe), and since then, I've been getting random system freezes — especially while...
