    HI...

I have Print Friendly & PDF extension on Firefox for printing PDF of webpages. You don't mean that, right? How could it get past paywalls? But the extension I like the most is SingleFile, rolls up entire page into one html file with images embedded. No more file + folder like when you Save a...

    HI...

Btw here is a clever trick I came across to get around paywalls. Take an address like https://www.somesite.com, replace the www. with archive.is/ If they don't have it already, then click on option to archive that URL, and watch it in real-time parse its way through a maze of html components to...

    HI...

I dug deeper. It appears an American consult bypassed the normal diplomatic channels and approached Garibaldi directly...for which he was later fired. Garibaldi was admired as the "Washington of Italy" and seen as a great hero in America. Garibaldi has expressed interest in serving the USA...if...

    HI...

Olá Balding Gary! I thought to welcome you with an image of your namesake Garibaldi, which led me down this tangential rabbit hole The article then goes on to say that the proof was a small postcard which was found among the royal papers of the exiled House of Savoy which were donated to the...

    Screenshots are gone

Since you have found your way to this site I presume you are open to exploring software on a "free" experimental basis! Why not graduate up to a decent screenshot program? I find Techsmith Snagit to be excellent, as you can add text, arrows, shapes, etc., and also has built in OCR image to text...

Windows 7 Forcing Me To Go Online. I Don't Want To.

If it's never going online, go to 1337x.to and get DAZ loader. This should patch it and stop nagging you. If this makes you nervous to use such a patch, then get Macrium Free or Acronis, make a full image backup to an external drive. You can always restore what you have if DAZ doesn't work.

Tell Me Some Insanely Great App (for Windows) That I Can't Possibly Live Without.

Xplorer 2 ExpressVPN--I had Surfshark for years, went downhill when Nord took over. I have home network Win10-Win7-Win11. SS constantly lost network connection. ExpressVPN never does, whether I log off on or. AnyTXT Searcher. I use UltraSearch too but it's mostly file names. AnyTXT can find...

    Polly Want A Cracker!

This reminded me of the good ole dayz scouring crack sites. None of my old URLs work. I tried Date Cracker 2000 on it, which sometimes can trick a program into thinking it is days ago so your trial doesn't expire. Didn't work, StickyNotes is still counting down. If anything improves or it...

Program that Compares Two Folders and Highlights Duplicates or Missing Files?

I found a working copy here You will have to mess around with turning on Dual Pane, and setting the View to Horizontal to match my images. I tested this and it works. Xplorer2 is loaded with features.

Program that Compares Two Folders and Highlights Duplicates or Missing Files?

So far I find i have two solutions for you: 1 Best is Xplorer2Ultimate Portable. It's paid program but you can find it out there! It's dual pane which makes it easy to compare two sources. I set up two folders with same files, then removed two from one side. Next go to Tools/Compare Subfolders...

    Favorite Windows Audio Player 2023?

I stubbornly stick to OLD Winamp. Why? Because I love the visualizer. The Milk Drop presets have never ever been improved upon. Back in the ancient days, late '60's, I had the first Light Show in Los Angeles, and did some shows at the Whiskey when Jefferson Airplane made their L.A. debut. The...

Tricks I found for "File Name Too Long" problems

I should point out I am working on Win 7. You will find solutions for Win 10 through registry but even then I read enabling longer paths on 10 doesn't work for many legacy programs or even File Explorer. Here is one explanation

Tricks I found for "File Name Too Long" problems

Ever put a file with long long name inside deep nested folders, and now you can't rename, move, or delete it? Because the path is now too long past what Windows allows? I saved an Amazon product page named "Amazon.com _ 6MP Add-On PoE IP Bullet Camera for Existing System, Indoor_Outdoor, 2.8mm...

    Windows Product Key

Works on Win 7 and 10. Just checked it on Win 11 which so far I don't use. It works. Here's an odd find, it says this mini PC I just got with Win 11 is "Windows 10 Pro!"
