Looks nice, gotta be online for some features, but basics can be done offline too. Gotta pay to turn on features. I tried annotation, added an arrow, a box,, then tried a sticker, or image, or wat3ermark. "Item limit reached". If you want OCR gotta get AI extension, looks like there's a cost...- philalethes

I understood the OP's problem. I brought up Macrium and PowerISO in case he had a similar program and had forgotten that he'd mounted an iso with them. ...perhaps the overly verbose Salsantana will update us on his progress.. btw...did your spell checker interfere and convert "importancy" to...- philalethes

The only conflict I stumbled across was with this: I used Snagit's "Grab Text" (OCR) feature for long time. Then I started to play with Win Power tools and it's OCR on screen capture. Doggie Daddy-- while your tips about registry are helpful, I don't see what problem you have with PowerISO. From way back I have used it to view contents of an .iso. True, Windows now has that ability to mount an .iso. But to make an a new iso or add files to one Windows has mounted, Chat...- philalethes

I had a virtual CD drive icon also. Often you can right mouse on icon and find "Unmount". But I also use Macrium to make backup images; and PowerISO. I had used one of them to search within an image, and forgot to use their unmount command. Once done it went away.- philalethes

A clean system is of course ideally best. But over the years I have installed so many odd little utilities and programs now gone, I don't like to start at square one. Thus I have kept the same hard drive starting from Vista to Win 7 (the best)...skipped 8, then moved to Win 10 onto Win 11 in...- philalethes

I don't have a comparison answer. Sounds like a tedious experiment to find out, doing lots of uninstalls and then comparing file counts. I reckon the best method is to have those programs monitor the initial installation. I admit, even knowing that...I usually forget to do so!- philalethes
