3 companies control many big-name VPNs:

Yeah my Surfshark merged with Nord. Probably Blackrock and Vanguard are major shareholders somewhere up the line. THEY already have all your personal data siloed over in Utah or down in some DUMB. Give the AI a keyword or two and they can search backward and pull up your life story.
I only use a VPN to keep DRM vultures off my back and so my ISP isn't forced to send me a warning about termination of service. I doubt my ISP really cares.
And doesn't everyone have to ultimately pay the gatekeeper to get onto the backbone of the Internet?
I'll skip over stories about how Killary and her circle of intellectual property criminals around the Rose Law Firm own some of the root encryption keys to everything, since none of my "paranoid" disclosures on this forum have ever been met with a comment. Tsk tsk.

I would tend not to think that people will not respond to your comments, rather more the fact that they don;t know about some of the

I would not be to bothered about people not responding to your comments, it is more likely they are unaware of the subjects you raise. The majority of people go their way blissfully believing what they are told and not using the intelligence they were born with to examine what is being said or questioning the source and the information before accepting it. Some are even worried that they may make a fool of themselves. Any information is good information provided you are prepared to examine the basis of it before accepting it.

They are all owned and/or ran by Black Rock anyway, so why trust them?

Does anyone really think that PGP and encryption is an issue that any government is going to simply allow to flow by them, without them demanding access, or cut it off at its source, with insidious measures, should the need to arise?

Get real.

Encryption and VPN's and the Cloud and Anti-this, that and the other is just a sugar pill for the masses... an entire cottage industry built up around one goal... corral the masses into one pen... using methods and means that the common man cannot hack, but that higher ups can access with a click on a keyboard.

I believe that emphatically.

It is fun to talk about, but at the end of the day, the notion of being totally naked and vulnerable to a select group of peoples is only as annoying as one is paranoid, in a proportionate degree... which is what drives the cottage industry of fear porn...

Learning to build and operate and manage an "Off Grid OS" is something that most should desire, but I understand that the trend is the opposite way, and being able to find gainful employment leads one to embrace being naked and vulnerable when out in the public sector.

I guess I am suggesting that an at home OS can be practically air-tight, but that one also has to divide themselves and also use the "Nanny System" in order to make ends meet in this world.

I hope some of this makes sense.

Kind regards to all
