The party's over for uBlock Origin. Bummer. Most Manifest V2 compliant adblocking browser extensions will suffer the same fate.

Looks like we are entering another cat and mouse era. Guess it's time to start loving another browser until they jump on the Manifest V3 bandwagon.
Funny thing, latest Apple commercials are touting how wonderful Safari (webkit) is at privacy settngs built in. SMH.

After reading a few other articles, I think it's time to move on back to Firefox.
Google/Chrome may have been loosely following the old Netscape/ IE debacle for those of you who remember.
The difference is however, Google heaped on a bunch of free features AND allowing the inclusion you bring 'em adblocking extensions via their extensions store.
Well looks like the bean counters have taken the helm at Google and it's time for them to start increasing revenues. YouTube permium is meh and just another player and to be honest after you heap on an ISP subscription not all that great a deal. There are more and more ad-supported streaming services all fighting for that space. All you need is a server farm and some bandwidth, no longer a need to run a costly dedicated coax or fiber line into the premise.
Google has relied on forks of open-source projects to defray development expenses. Chrome O/S is controversal. Much better control of what students can do with supplied systems but are they providing experience for future professional use or are their phones doing a better job?
Finally Firefox is the last holdout it seems hell bent of profitability. They will let you run any extensions within reason.
