Check out 1337x (dot) to. There is everything you seek available there. You are going to need a torrent client. Many of us here use qBittorrent. It's freeware, updated regularly, and it seems to work well without being annoying. There are tons of sites that have guides to using torrents so no need to duplicate that here. Just do a search.
Using a VPN is never a bad idea, there are free (?) ones out there. I pay a small amount every 6 months for mine.
