Well in a natural progression of things this year I got a:
1 gig fiber to the premise line
A new AX1800 wireless router
So now here's the deal: My network is hard wired where ever it can be. Priority ITV stuff is hard wired and comes right off the router and it is tagged for priority. The rest of the hard wired stuff is routed through a Cisco SG300-10pp managed switch.
The wireless for the most part is AI stuff, surveillance cameras, cell phones, iPads, tablets, my GF's Dell a couple of MacBook's, and my daily driver at home a Dell Latitude 7380 , Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7600U CPU @ 2.80GHz 16GB RAM (Max amount). I turned the touch screen off, it was a freebie. It does do one weird documented problem, when it warms up the fan starts "pumping", whoosh, whoosh. That did take some getting used to, but the system stays within normal temps.
My question is about the Latitude. I am looking to replace the current 8265NGW wireless module with a new AX210 Wi-Fi 6 module. Pin for pin it's identical (E and A notches) and electrically it's the same.
The confusion starts when you start looking at compatibility. It's got a forced (but legit) copy of Win 11 Pro and it runs great. I am just wondering what all this ambiguity with minimum specs are? I guess I will order one from Amazon and if it doesn't work out, return it.
I do a fair amount of file transfers from that system and I would really like the increased speed. I wouldn't be sharing that bandwidth with all those goofy Alexa and Google talking hockey pucks. In their defense I do have a google smart clock 2 which is awesome and an Amazon and a Google display model. Funny my GF likes Alexa better. I think Alexa is a dumb ass and I own all that hardware.

I tell her I love her and she breaks into song "Thanks for saying I love you" She tells me a bedtime story too, she is the shit. And the stuff nightmares are made of at the same time! And her jokes are far from halarious, some are cute enough. She's still kinda a creepy bitch though, hey, Im just sayin Yo...

I do everything I can to prevent Alexa or Cortana or Google from listening to me and watching me. I don't mind missing out on some tech goodies for a bit of privacy.

I filled the mic holes with glue on my Firestick remotes and my Shield TV Pro's remote.

Holy cow, I just installed Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210 160MHz in my laptop. Worth every penny, Internet is running like a cat with it's tail on fire (figuratively, I love animals). Anyway a $21 upgrade worth every penny, very fun going this fast on wireless.

My motherboard has the Intel AC-9260 160MHz adapter built in. My router is TP-Link AC4000. I don't use a modem. I'm on an all-fiber optic cable connection. I'm only paying for 100 Mbs and get normally 90-95 up and down. Everything in the house streams and I don't have any issues. My previous router's last day was a violent death. I literally stomped it to pieces and bought a $20 router at Walmart to do me while I ordered a decent router.

I have a TP-Link AX55, 1 Gbs Fiber to the premise. Funny story, I called up my provider to cancel a 6 Mo complimentary streaming service before I had to pay for it. I ordered a 300Mbs line to start with but this provider always over-provisions so the were giving me ~ 500Mbs. So I am talking to the rep, I had a billing problem with them, took 3 calls to get it straightened out.
HINT: Always get the name of the rep you are talking to. Keep pushing them until they give it to you and take some notes. It usually pays off if the problem isn't straighten out.
So anyway I am talking to the rep and he says, I'll tell you what, I can offer you a 1Gbs line for $10 LESS/mo. Well heck yes! That's what led to all this upgrading at home. I decided to run all my wired lines through a Cisco SG 300-10PP for the added security of a enterprise managed router Got it for free so why not?

Question: What did that router do to you that pissed you off so? The only thing I remember routers doing messed up is Linksys in particular burning out their puny little power supplies.
I really feel bad for those folks who get raped by renting their router from their ISP. Mine hands you some BS about not guaranteeing speeds unless you use their router. I asked then what if I hook up directly to the demarc and get the same speed results, no routers involved. Uh I guess we would send out a tech then. Speaking of which I have seen some really crappy "professional" cable installs. The fiber folks always do a neat, tidy job.

It was dropping various connections and was getting worse. I download almost constantly and we're streaming TV with 3 TVs and it was getting frustrating.

Funny you went with TP-Link as well, or did I? I was a little put off by the documentation. It put me off it looked a little like the poorly translated Chinese manual. Once I plugged it in and set it up properly, good for ITV, can prioritize bandwidth priority to individual ports and plenty of CPU power. Solid unit, stodgy documentation unless you know what you are doing. If you do or willing to learn, you can't beat the price.

The main reason I bought this particular router is because of the price vs functionality. I'm big into IPTV so it had to be able to handle the stress of multiple streams at once. I've got it set up to prioritize traffic by streaming and device this way my PC never chews up so much of my bandwidth that the TVs start buffering while I'm downloading with my PC. It took a bit of tweaking but I've got everything getting along and running smoothly as fresh butter.

FYI The AX211 will NOT work on IBM/Thinkpad/Lenovo/HP laptops. Those laptops have had luck with Intel AX210 WiFi 6E module. I may or may not upgrade the ThinkPad, my personal take to work system.

I was thinking of starting this over in the reddit sub, but you folks can start. Ask Alexa to tell you a Donald Trump joke. Bezos caved into the Don back in 2017 when they were feuding and Bezos censored out Alexa telling Trump jokes or providing link to any info on the web. For that matter neither will Google assistant won't tell you a joke, but will gladly provide links to Trump joke sites on the web.
So I am trying to enlist as many Alexa users as I can to continually ask Alexa to tell you a Donald Trump joke as many times as you can, the more the merrier. Granted Alexa is no fun since the gen 1 days. I was given one of those Gen 1 "black towers" and the things I did. If you taunted Alexa enough she got down right nasty, the tone of her voice was mean.
My crowning achievement was getting the Google assistant to start arguing with Alexa over travel directions w/o any of my intervention. It was funny as all get out. Unfortunately as AI does, it told of my shenanigans and the programmers patched those holes. That's why I want to try a brute force attack. If the AI gets enough basically implied error routines it sets off all kinds of warnings internally. Be sure to give ask to give Alexa feedback and repeat the request for a Trump joke. Please feel free to ask in any language you can speak, the more variations, the better.
Now let's go have some fun and get even for the sh!tty programming done on the Alexa project!
It should make the programming section go nutty if they get enough "I don't know" errors and a load of feedback. You also throw in a comment how Alexa is offending you, doesn't hurt.

If you need a mod to write your automod code and do the subs theme and look and feel I just finished my style sheet for the old Reddit pages. I've even got a CSS animation on my new Reddit page. I'll PM you my subs address.
