One audio instance playing

I have 2 audio instances running.
Spotify and Squeezelite.

How do I ensure only playback from one audio is playing.
When I hit play on Spotify, the other app either stops playing or pauses.

There is only 1 soundcard.

It's a bridge (simplification for discussion purposes) between Spotify and Logitech Media Server. It's essential for Spotify and LMS to function. It's entirely normal and shouldn't be a problem.
