I'm so jealous. And were still in 2000 with out bandwidth caps for an astronomical price. Makes me feel like in 1992 when internet was counted in hours allowed per month

Hi guys!

This is my first post here.

Firstly, I'll introduce the ISPs.
Secondly, I'll clarify some doubts based on comments.
Lastly, I'll talk about the pros and cons of usage in general.

The popular ISPs(Fastest speed currently offered) for commercial use are:
Singtel(1Gbps) - http://info.singtel.com/personal/internet/broadband-at-home/fibre-broadband-plans
Starhub(1Gbps) - http://www.starhub.com/personal/broadband/fibre-broadband/price-plans.html
M1(1Gbps) - https://www.m1.com.sg/personal/home-broadband
ViewQuest(2Gbps, single fiber) - http://www.viewqwest.com/products.html
MyRepublic(2Gbps, dual fiber[2x 1Gbps]) - http://info.singtel.com/personal/internet/broadband-at-home/fibre-broadband-plans

The results of what ThumperTM posted are that of ViewQuest.

To answer some of your doubts and clarify them:

Firstly, I think you have mistaken the conversion rate between speeds, they come in (b)its and (B)ytes.
8bits = 1 Byte
8Megabits(Mb) = 1 MegaByte(MB)
2Gbps is not = 250Mb/s, it is 250MB/s
In Ookla's settings you can actually set the speed you want to be displayed for speedtests, in this case it was set to bits.
The market rates are in the links provided above.

Lastly:
Yes we have fast internet, but you won't torrent as quickly if there are not enough seeders.
You won't torrent quickly if your seeders have limited upload speeds.
You still need to rely on the server's upload bandwidth in order to achieve maximum download speeds(Downloading games on Steam, etc.)
Each ISPs have their pros and cons, some offering certain bundles including home and mobile line packages and discounts, while others specialize in pure fiber.

I hope this post clarifies some doubts any of you may have :bebendoceva:

Who has a NIC that has more than 1Gb throughput? Did someone start making 10 Gb NIC's and forget to tell the rest of the world? Unless they have something like a fiber NIC? Just because I've never seen one doesn't mean anything, obviously...
