Hi Friends
I am Golgo
The present study analyzes the interaction between peers in two virtual discussion forums (structured and unstructured). The analysis of the data considered:
1) the interactive and discursive strategies used by the participants, and
2) the knowledge produced (number of ideas and use of concepts).
3). The data obtained suggest that the instructional design used to organize the discussion in the forums has a considerable effect on the knowledge built by the participants.
The results show that there are differences in the number of interactive and discursive strategies used by students in both forums (structured discussion: discursive, and interactive, unstructured discussion: discursive, and interactive). Likewise, there was a greater number of ideas and use of concepts in the structured discussion forum than in the informal one number of ideas concepts
