Hi, everyone, new to the forum, but I must admit I have a motive for being here. I just downloaded Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link 8 and the download included this website for tech support. That said does anyone know how to get around Win7 denying access to the finalizer to complete activation. I wish to thank anyone and everyone on this forum for their being here to help people with software problems.

Hate to reply to my own post, but I figured it out. The finalizer is to block the registration host server address. I had to go to the Windows\system32\drivers\etc folder, right click on it and change it from read only under properties. Hope this helps anyone having the same trouble I was. Once again, thanks for a great forum.

i also em having issues getting diagnostlink 8.04 set up, need to read log files at home.
