Is there a future for Windows 10? Who Knows?
Laptop Magazine brings some interesting news.

Regarding Windows 10 End of Days,,,,,

Corporate Hogwash, they do the same thing with every OS they have made since Windows was made, get it working nearly perfect then dump it on the side of the road get in the new OS bus and off they go into the sunset leaving the old OS doing little.

Personally I always liked Windows ME and Windows 7, Everyone I spoke to hated Windows ME but I found it to be the most rock solid GUI I have ever had the pleasure of using. Once you had worked out where the missing base drivers were kept on the disc and got rid of all the brackets in the Device manager drivers sections it would start quick and remain stable all day. Was a good games platform even on games it wasnt supposed to be able to be used for.

Same could be said for Windows 7 apart from obviously the messaging system built into it that got hacked by all and sundry days after the release. Stable, solid and a great workhorse once sorted out. I think at this point Microsoft kind of jumped on the 4 year new OS bus and left it all behind with zero support when cash started to dwindle.

Windows 11 will join in the Death Knell in about 2026 and out come windows XII with support dying in 2027 and finally laid to rest in 2027 as dreams of Windows XIII appear on the horizon.

Personally I have virtual machines of Windows 7 Enterprise and Windows ME with full updates and still use them today..

Not just VM's , a number of my clients still use Windows 2000 Server, Windows 7 still quite common in older businesses, no point in updating if the system you use is doing what it was setup to do and your happy with it.

Thanks to all who provided information and feedback
Much appreciated.
I'm going to stay with Windows 10 indefinitely.
I just had a Glenmorangie Single Malt in a glass with a few blocks of ice.
This Single Malt is very smooth.
