The job outlook in my area has been terrible, to say the least. I've landed a job replacing Windows 10 PCs with Windows 11 at a large company. The team consists of four "point and place" personnel and two technical follow-up specialists. This should be fun (J/K), like poking pencils in your eye. This should be good for shits and giggles, at least it's a 5 minute commute. I have a couple of other leads I am waiting to hear from. I am sure nothing will happen until after Jan. 1. Pay is really good anyway for 2 out of 3 offers. We shall see. At least the economy is climbing out of the toilet

They use people to do that?

My Mac Russell can do that

Here he is as a puppy sniffing out an issue on a Blackberry.

A job is a job, if it pays money then be happy. I quit Working in IT full time due to overheads and lack of decent employers, they all want kids with no idea what they doing. A lot like "TIME" used to a use

Fortunately, some companies have learned the hard way that finding individuals with knowledge and empathy for end-users boosts productivity and ultimately, profits. I hear ya, though, so many IT jobs are offered to greenhorns that they can pay peanuts. After these new techs have pissed off every employee they deal with and the admin consequently gets caught in a shite storm, only then will they make the case for hiring seasoned, experienced workers who know WTF is going on.

Holy cow, I am not sure why or how, but all of a sudden I have been getting quite a few very attractive job offers to the point I am able to bargain the terms of employment. Unlike last year you would get your application accepted and they liked you. They said they would get back to you one way or the other and it turns off they have decided to wait on a decision.
One very unfortunate thing I have noticed, in the IT industry, many of the positions were filled with H1B applicants recruited from India. Well now that an H1B permit is impossible to obtain, there is a large number of staffing recruiters in the US that are from India, that are having a hard time making a living. I receive at least a couple of calls each weekday with open positions from these recruiters. Sadly many times I don't fully understand what they are saying so I request they contact me via email. Crazy, right? I do feel bad for them that they had their jobs taken away by the current federal administration.
