Is there any reason I should not uninstall the following programmes.
co pilot
Edge
One drive
Adobe creative cloud.

They came pre installed with win11.

Uninstalling Copilot, Microsoft Edge, OneDrive, or Adobe Creative Cloud will not break Windows itself, but it may cause app-specific issues like missing features or lost access to stored files.

Impact of Uninstalling Applications

Uninstalling applications like Copilot, Microsoft Edge, OneDrive, or Adobe Creative Cloud will not break the Windows operating system itself. However, it may lead to specific issues related to the functionality of those applications.

Potential Issues from Uninstalling

ApplicationPotential Issues
CopilotLoss of AI features and assistance in Microsoft apps.
Microsoft EdgeLoss of a web browser; may affect web-based tasks.
OneDriveLoss of cloud storage access; files may not sync.
Adobe Creative CloudLoss of access to Adobe apps and services; may affect file management.

General Considerations

  • Feature Loss: Uninstalling these applications may result in missing features that enhance productivity or file management.
  • File Access: For OneDrive and Adobe Creative Cloud, uninstalling may lead to lost access to files stored in the cloud or synced folders.
  • No System Breakage: Windows will continue to function normally without these applications, but users may experience reduced functionality in specific tasks.
In summary, while uninstalling these applications won't harm Windows itself, it can limit your ability to use certain features and access files associated with those applications.

What issues may arise from uninstalling Microsoft Edge or OneDrive?
Uninstalling Microsoft Edge may lead to issues such as loss of access to certain features that rely on it, as it is integrated into Windows, and it could be automatically reinstalled during updates. Similarly, removing OneDrive can disrupt file synchronization and access to files stored in the cloud, potentially leading to data management challenges

How to safely uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud without losing data?
To safely uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud without losing data, use Adobe's Official Cleaner Tool, which removes all traces of the software while preserving your files. Additionally, ensure you back up any important projects or files stored in Creative Cloud before proceeding with the uninstallation.

What are the benefits of keeping Microsoft Copilot installed on Windows?
Keeping Microsoft Copilot installed on Windows offers enhanced productivity by providing AI-powered assistance for tasks like document creation, data analysis, and project management. It also simplifies automation of repetitive tasks, allowing users to focus on more strategic work.

Use Revo. Are you looking to strip down Windows? Look at it this way, with the exception of Adobe, Microsoft will be more than happy to reinstall their programs, so no worries. I get rid of copilot, one drive, and sometime edge. I don't use those programs and I don't care to have copilot snooping on me. As already mentioned, Microsoft may attempt to reinstall their stuff, so be vigilant if you want to keep it off.

Thanks for the replies, I use Firefox and don't knowingly use cloud storage.
My main use is photoshop so will probably have to keep adobe creative cloud.
I will uninstall the others one at a time and see if it affects my usage.

thanks.
