Virtual Box
VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Not only is VirtualBox an extremely feature rich, high performance product for enterprise customers, it is also the only professional solution that is freely available as Open Source Software under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2. See "About VirtualBox" for an introduction.
OP Note:
Besides the endless amount of application and purpose one might have for Virtualization, most people dont think they have a pratical use for it.
Well think about this, the next time your gonna run that "suspect" keygen or crack and you wanna make sure it doesnt infect your system, you might wanna consider having a test VM handy you can clone and use/scrap as many times as you might need without ever putting your system at risk
** Sandboxie is another safe alternative, but personal experience has shown that a lot of "these" programs tend to fail execution in the sandbox environment, so a VM is alway choice to have, again, IMO.
