Hey everyone,
I’m getting ready to upgrade a few machines to Windows 11 Pro (finally making the jump ), and I’m torn between doing a clean install or just going the in-place upgrade route.
A bit of context:
My questions:
Also open to hearing any install tips or odd bugs I should watch out for in the latest Windows 11 builds.
Appreciate any insight — would love to hear how your upgrades went!
I’m getting ready to upgrade a few machines to Windows 11 Pro (finally making the jump ), and I’m torn between doing a clean install or just going the in-place upgrade route.
A bit of context:
- Most of these systems are running Windows 10 Pro
- Some are workstations with heavy tools like Visual Studio, Office, and design software
- I’ve got backups ready just in case things go sideways
My questions:
- Has anyone here done a clean install recently? Was it worth the extra effort?
- Did anyone run into issues with drivers or activation post-upgrade?
- Is there really a performance difference between clean install vs upgrade?
Also open to hearing any install tips or odd bugs I should watch out for in the latest Windows 11 builds.
