I AM TRYING TO INSTALL WINDOWS XP OVER WINDOWS 7 ON MY LENOVO LAPTOP, BUT I AM GETTING AN ERROR CHKDSK /F , I TRIED CHANGING SATA TO COMPATIBLE MODE BUT IT WONT HELP ANT IDEA HOW TO DO IT?

hello!

it mean that you need to run from the cmd prompt for checking/fixing errors on the disk!:
Code:
CHKDSK C: /F

on Microsoft documentation page you can read all about this command, and how to use it.

here is the link:
Code:
https://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/chkdsk.mspx?mfr=true

If you can't reach the startup screen try this:

Tap F8 while you are booting and select the command prompt options, then type:
Code:
chkdsk c: /f
the C: is your hard drive (disk);

hope i was helpful :)
