Guys, the main problem with the Windows 11 is this: If you try to install Win 11 25H2, you need a internet connection, and... you will need a MS Account (most of the people doesn't have it) - without he MS-ACC you can't install Win11..... Microsoft is going to get your personal stuff! mobile phone number, address, and a lot of other personal stuff.

At this time I would say that there are still a lot of people still using hacked Windows 7 copies around the globe.
Data selling is a major issue in this day and age, using selective choice to who you give it to is one thing.

Lessening the blow.

Microsoft sell your data on to anyone that wants it, just like eve3ryone else on the net. They have to make a crust and satisfy SHare Holders who want their cut each month.

SO
Browsing the web, dont use Microsoft products. This of course is to say the Browser you choose sends feedback to the server on every click. I use Google Chrome mostly. Its a nice free and well thought out info transfer two way street.

Music & Video, VLC, mainly because of Codec issues and the fact it doesnt sit telling Microsoft what you watch.

Apache Office Pro does what MS Office does and a few more items as well without talking to Microsoft.

And so for coding, working out a code batch I use Microsoft Visual Studio. WHen it comes to final builds and stuff I have other software that doesnt talk to Microsoft and pass on my details.

Microsoft OneDRive pfffft, dont use it to BACKUP your PC, Always keep your backup on a local drive out of your machine. Most C Drive backups can be held on a 1TB drive. I store my backup on my own server in my home then it is safe in case of terminal crashes.
OneDRive received the uninstall treatment when it got installed to start with.
If you store your BACKUP on OneDrive online Microsoft have direct access to it.

This may help, when installing a fresh complete installation, when you reach the stage where Window 11 25H2 has loaded its OS files, and the first setup menu screen has appeared asking for language, keyboard etc, push Shift+F10 to open CMD terminal window.
type OOBE\BYPASSNRO enter. This will now reactivate menu sequence, BUT will give you the option to bypass internet connection at this time.

Yes. I agree thanks. I saw a comment from Thumper a long time to uninstall One Drive. I did with Revo Uninstaller Pro also recommended by Thumper. 5Gb of storage is a joke. Google provides me with 15Gb for each of my Gmail accounts. Also a long time ago I tried Microsoft Edge and it was full of Google ads. I uninstalled with Revo, then it was installed again in the next Windows Update. I searched the web and found a way to block Microsoft Edge from installing and sure enough it hasn't. I love reading the comments provided by members of The Windows Forum. Thank you sincerely All.

I completely agree with your points about the challenges surrounding the installation of Windows 11, particularly the requirements for an internet connection and a Microsoft account. It can be quite frustrating for users who may not have access to reliable internet or are hesitant to create an account due to privacy concerns.

You use anything Microsoft it will make its way to them.

Isn't that the truth. Everybody is out to know as much as they can about you and in most cases bundle it up and sell it to advertisers that target groups, In the US a political party is using that info to weaponize attacks on discontents or info for ICE, even worse which remains to be seen. Guard your personal information as best you can. I have done my best since the Internet started. I was shown by some very knowledgeable people how to conduct myself when online. Even back then your info was being grabbed and tabulated and then offered for sale. It has become much, much worse.

I got lots and lots of words that can be weaponised.

I got lots and lots of thoughts that have already been weaponised.

DONT ASK !!!!!

Some 23 and 24h2 ISO's also request MS account...it's better to have one ...I 'm an Insider for ten years...you can try Windows 11 'Lite' some will not even ask for a name at all...you can get all the free ISO' you want at Internet Archive....it can be addicting....i install different systems all week long on various comps...it's fun...some of these lite systems take as little as 4 gig space yet fuction pretty normally with even some extra features which you can control.*john

Gentlemen, you do NOT need an MS account or Wi-Fi connection, everything can be done without it. So it's not Windows sh*t but you didn't do it right.

Seeing as the majority of users on here, dont have Business or production scale setups this version

Windows 11 loT Enterprise

Isnt a great deal of use to the general user. Granted it is a standalone application made to be installed on lots of machines in a network, its features are only of use on the Master system points and not on the sub stattions.

Its built in security isnt any better than the Defender option in Home and Pro installations and the best bit about it is it can be switched off to make use of thrid party Anti Virus / Malware. Out of all the installations I have worked on the Enterprise for WIndows 10 isnt the most popular. Its install at local account level is useful, but hardly record breaking.

As my dulling memory recalls the most active version of Ultimate used was the Windows 7 hacked and backed version. Since the debacle of WIndows 8 / 8.1 Enterprise is rarely of use these days.
