Hi,
It seems as though windows is instituting a new security measure to block adobe.snr.patch.v2.0-painter.exe. Every time I unzip it, it appears in the instalation folder under 3.0 activation but seconds later it dissappears without a trace so I cannot patch Acrobat.
Has anybody seen this and possibly offer help?
Thanks

Disable your antivirus.

Go into AV settings and tell program to never scan your downloads folder. Also any folder you decide to save such program installers for future use. Otherwise auto scans from AV will strip out the needed hacktools, keygens, etc. Later you might want to reinstall (or share) some trusty old program you can no longer find on the net...and you are effed.

Then it is up to YOU to upload any patches, etc., to virustotal for scanning. You can usually still have your AV scan something to see what it detects BUT Set your AV to ask you what to do before deleting or quarantining.
AV's usually have some whitelist function, so you might be able to right click on the hacktool and tell AV to "never scan" or "always allow."
