Yesterday all was well, I've not installed any new software in weeks.. The only thing I can think of was new windows updates, no my audio is stopping and playing, in VLC if I play anything the audio stops for a second and continues, but I can see the volume moving around on it's own too...

Any ideas? Maybe I'm not the only one with this issue?

Should I dump the last few security updates??

Thanks!

Windows 11 Codec Pack, do a search download it and install it WITHOUT LETTING THE FREE SOFTWARE get Accepted, just decline them

You have a codec mismatch

CODEC = Compressor / Decompressor for making sound files smaller in size. People think they know how to do it better so we end up with mismatched stuff instead of sticking to tried and true tested methods.

The codec pack will cover all the bases.

The installer tries to install Oprea GX and excellent gaming browser and AVAST anti virus, (dont allow it if you have other AV software installed just DECLINE IT
