Lately, meaning it may have been since the last update, Surf Shark has been making a mess of initial wireless connections on one of my laptops, it took forever if at all. It's not even loaded at this point mind you. I finally gave up and uninstalled it (with Revo), now I get instantaneous connections. No doubt it's one of the protocols needed to make Surf Shark functions and perhaps forcing my Torrent program to only connect though it may have made things worse, even though neither one is in my startup programs list.

In driver manager, delete the drivers in question. Then uninstall Surfshark rebook the computer let it sit for 10 minutes then go check in driver manager check if it re-installed the drivers you deleted, if not in driver manager refresh / scan for new devices, once they install re-install Surfshark and it should be fine.

An uninstall with Revo and a fresh install fixes things back up. I suspect it’s a matter of installing updates. I have qbittorrent dependent on SurfShark or it won’t go on the Internet, a smart thing to do. It’s still one heck of a lot better than TorGuard. I’ll probably give Proton a shot when my contract with SurfShark is up. I have had an email address with them for years and having worked for a Swedish company now, they go take things seriously. SurfShark seems to be trying too hard lately.
Honestly they all lease space at the same POPs, so it boils down to price, customer service and their software client. There’s always a rumble that anti piracy groups will squeeze a provider in court in order to obtain logs, that’s why I try and stay away from the largest providers.
