If I boot my dual boot laptop to win 10, wi-fi & ethernet connections are fine but if I boot to win 7, ethernet connection is OK but no wi-fi connections are available. Device Manager reports correct drivers for onboard wi-fi and USB wi-fi adapters. When I run ipconfig /all only ethernet adapter is listed. I tried ipconfig /renew but stiil no wi-fi adapters are listed.
Since all works with win 10 I assume the problem is with win 7.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I found the culprit. WLAN AutoConfig in services.msc was set to disabled. Changed startup service to 'Automatic' & started service; now OK on both wi-fi adapters
