Please help! This is driving me insane.

How do I get my PDFs to show up in the preview panel? I have tried everything co-pilot has suggested, but it still doesn't work :(

I have tried all the following suggestions from co-pilot:

  • The Preview Pane is turned off

  • Preview handlers are disabled

  • No PDF preview handler is installed

  • Downloaded PDFs are blocked by Windows

    • Recent Windows versions may disable previews for files downloaded from the internet as a security measure.
    • Right-click the PDF → Properties → check Unblock (if present) → Apply. [learn.microsoft.com], [webnots.com]
  • Adobe Reader preview support is disabled

  • File Explorer needs a refresh

Note that the preview function works for jpegs, so is it something to do with my pdf viewer? I have downloaded acrobat and make it the default pdf program, when that didnt work I tried edge, then tried chrome! This is so frustrating!!! Help me!
