After following the instructions (install>trial>patch as admin in the install folder>.reg) foxit disabled itself to the express version after 14 days

Is there a fix ?

Disabling auto-update and even blocking all the exe's in the folder from accessing the internet does not stop it from disabling the loading of the Editor plugin, making it useless for editing PDFs.

Also, you must exclude the folder from being scanned by defender windows security, virus & threat protection, manage settings, then add or remove exclusions, in here we add the drives and folders we do not want scanned by defender... in many cases like this it is defender causing the issues especially if we have a cracked file in the installation folder.

Use ActiveX in HTA format. You can code or design in html and execute in the computer.
