If you look around the Internet, you can't help but notice prices on hardware are falling. The paradox it seems for example Micro Center. Their current prices seem very high in relation to online retailers. Unfortunately, the stocking retailers were forced to replenish their inventories when prices were at their apogee, so their selling prices reflect this.
And now a little rant:
Here in SE PA it seems everybody who has the cash to back them wants to erect a data center. Thank goodness for now anyway their requests have been tabled. I hope that these delays will allow sanity to prevail over uneducated investor cash chasing the data center dream. I have seen with my own eyes the promise of employment past the initial outfitting of the facility is Bullshit. But then again what do they intend to do with all this computing power, all dressed up but nowhere to go. This current nonsense may be (among other fiscal stupidity) setting us up for another mini-depression. Keep in mind the Regan years pushed the US national debt so we were darn near bankrupt. It was the capital gains tax from the stock market during the Clinton dot-bomb years that erased that debt no thanks to Clinton. Lightening doesn't strike twice. Rant off
