[Help Needed] Windows 11 Troubleshooting – Random Freezing After Update

Hey everyone,


I'm new here, so apologies if this is in the wrong section – mods, feel free to move it!


I recently updated my laptop (Auronix SwiftBook 15X) to the latest Windows 11 patch (version 24H2, I believe), and since then, I've been getting random system freezes — especially while multitasking or waking from sleep. No BSOD, just a hard freeze that needs a forced shutdown.


Things I’ve tried so far:

• Updated all drivers via Device Manager
• Ran sfc /scannow (no issues found)
• Disabled Fast Startup
• Checked for overheating (temps seem normal)

Has anyone else faced this after the latest Windows 11 update? Any tips or tweaks I might’ve missed?

Welcome! You're not alone - others have reported similar issues with 24H2. Try updating your chipset and GPU drivers directly from the manufacturer’s site (not just via Device Manager). Also, check Event Viewer for any critical errors around the freeze times. Some users have had success by rolling back the update or doing an in-place repair using the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool.
