That sounds like a smart move - running both PCs side by side will definitely ease the transition. A second keyboard and mouse (or even a simple KVM switch) can help a lot. Hope your hospital visits went okay and that you get more time to explore Windows 11 soon. Let us know if you run into any setup issues!
