Hello hope someone can help me I'm having a problem with my Windows 8.1 computer they closed my app by group policy on Windows defender how do I get it back other than calling Microsoft

Who is they? If an admin shut down defender (security) w/o a replacement that's kinda crazy. You are talking about messing with group policy and if you are logging into a domain, you had better not mess around.

Oh I read a little further into your question. What is the name of the app that was shut down by defender?
