I had an unusual setup at my new job. I had a temp laptop with a 13" screen and really needed 2 big monitors for wor and colaberation. So heres the difference. let's call the 2 large monitors 2 dnd 3 at least that's what I ended up naming them with the laptop as #1 So then I changed display settings to mirror each other. Since Monitor #2 was on my right I wanted it to be the main display. So I them moved the cusor over to Monitor #1 and checked make this my main display.
Next I went to each monitor and used their internal adjustments to move image around for 100% coverage.
Boom! It's a lot of goofing around so I hope this helps should you be confronted with such a setup.
I have since been given 15.6" laptop, but still choose to use my 2 monitor setup.
