How to reset administrator pwd for windows 10?

All the methods from google search have failed except those paid ones (which I'm reluctant to purchase and try).
It seems the problem stems from the degrading of my current user account (it had admin privilege but now it has been removed - not sure how that happens).
Any suggestion?

so, it seems Lazesoft Recover (home - free edition is for windows 10 home edition) and (professional - paid version is for windows 10 professional edition), is such understanding correct?

Medicat is free. I keep a USB stick with it installed at all times. It's saved me more than once. Everyone should keep a USB stick handy with Medicat installed on it.
