I was doing a bit of computer housecleaning last nite and found something odd.
I don't use nor had I willingly opened Edge, yet I find 7 instances of it running in the task manager.
Hmmm...
So I download Autoruns by systernals and take a look at the start-up list and not only do I find all these instances of Edge, I find several instances of OneDrive which I never use AND this system is not linked to a Microsoft account.
I can't shake the feeling MS is looking over my shoulder. As a result from Autoruns I delete all listings for Edge, CoPilot and OneDrive.
So not only do I feel a bit more private, I have noticed a performance increase. If what I think about MS is true, shame on them. I am sure buried deep inside all the lenghty disclaimers you agree to during install, MS has covered their legal butt.
BTW Edge is at the top of my untrustworthy list.
No wonder Bill Gates now owns virtually all the potato farms that supply McDonalds french fries (true) and stepped away from Microsoft.
