It has been estimated that YouTube's starage capacity worldwide exceeds 1 exabyte, that's the equivalent of one quintillion bytes. Imangine having to manage that much storage. I can't. I can't even visualize that much data.
Last time I investigated (coughs nervously) it was a lot bigger than most notional data storge facilities, however is isnt all in one place. There are a lot of Proxy servers and it is in isefl an enclosed internet web.
Makes sense if you think about it, all that data in one place is just asking for trouble.
