My apologies if this is mentioned in another thread somewhere.

After Office 2016 is activated, is it necessary to keep KMSAuto, or is the activation permanent?

Additionally, I had received Windows 10 as a gift, thus I didn't need this tool to activate it. Unfortunately, my smart self accidentally "activated" Windows with KMSAuto. Will the affect anything in the future? Unlike other threads with similar issues, I do not currently have any Windows notifications saying that I need to activate.

Google it. Make sure you have your a/v either unloaded/ suspended/ or prevent it from loading at startup.
A/Vs love to flag patches and keygens. I suppose it's a software developer's silent agreement to not allow piracy. It's not heuristics either they are named by the A/V for what they are so they do know what it is. Such is the life of a pirate. Arggggh.

Why couldn't you just post a link? Sorry, just asking.

A couple reasons I can think of:
Posting links to questionable file (in terms of DMCA) could be detrimental to the existence of this forum.

See above. Sites who do post links are like whack a mole. The are usually shut down quickly. If I did post a link from search engine it may be gone in 24 hours. There is always the torrent index sites a great resource that already exists. The file exists and can be found by using either service. The last poster seems to have the skills to acquire the original program. What they seek can be found the same way. I checked the resource before I posted and it produces active links.

I can't speak directly for the forum's owner but policy seems to be no links to warez or other software that violate the DMCA are to be posted. You will find only links here for freeware/shareware and compact versions of the same. The mods will remove any other links from a post.
This is not a warez board, look at the title.
How does the old proverb read?
"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

also, does anybody know how it works does it set up a phony activation server on your computer kind of a look back thing

thanks

I'll jump in here. Don't know if I ever needed to use it. I think I played with it once with Office. I think you are on the right path. If I remember it only works for 6 months or so and then it needs to be refreshed or something like that. I've heard it mentioned that it doesn't do a permanent activation and allegedly there is something floating around that does but maybe for Windows only? I do know that you need to keep those files installed and I guess some A/V programs don't like them. Hey but your guess is as good as mine but I think you are on the right road. I am not the author nor do I have anything to do with that program just having fun like it seems you are.
