I've had this issue for months (maybe longer). I'm not sure when it started, but here's what happens:

My monitor will go into standby mode, after 3-7 minutes (no set amount of time) it will wake from standby, display nothing on the screen for a second (a black screen), then it will turn back off, and show DisplayPort in the top right corner before fulling going back into standby mode.

For a time after replacing my DisplayPort cable I noticed the monitor would only do this wake cycle every other time the monitor went to sleep. I'm pretty sure it was literally every other time I tested it. So half the time it would remain in standby and the other half it would wake every 3-7 minutes.

Any help or insight would be so greatly appreciated! This has been driving me nuts for months!!

You have something running in the background tickling Windows and causing it to wake up.
Open Task Manager:
To access Task Manager, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and select "Task Manager." On Windows 10, switch to the "Startup" tab at the top. On Windows 11, select "Startup apps" from the left sidebar. Each row lists an application alongside details relating to the startup.
Uncheck any program you don't care to have starting up.
Check your settings in the BIOS. Write down anything you can change related to wake up. When you select that choice a side bar will attempt to explain what's going on. Sometimes that can be cryptic. Write down the options and who wrote the BIOS in displayed inthe first box when you log into the BIOS. Google the option exactly how it appears along with name of BIOS and you will get a more detailed explaination. Make sure you understand what that choice controls before you make changes. Take your time and Google is always your best friend and advisor.
Good Luck.
