Hello,

So i have this problem that started when i was adding ram to the pc. When ever i turn my pc on this message appears "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press key". I tried to fix it and found it helpful if i hit the pc from the side then it turns on but only boots for a while then it shuts down again. Can someone help ?

It sounds like you may have caused a problem with the connection between the hard drive and the mobo. That would explain why the banging temporarily fixes the problem. Check the SATA cable and try a spare if you have one. There is an outside chance it's the new RAM but I doubt it would be intermittent but reseating the memory modules while the case is open won't hurt. Finally try resetting the BIOS. Check your manual, its either pushing a button on the board or removing the CMOS battery for 20 seconds or so.
My money is still on a bad HD cable or loose connection but you never know.

usually that also means that your BOOT.ini or BCD is damaged. and many times a BIOs reset will fix, if not then boot to Command as admin and reset your Boot Device with BCDEDIT.
