Hello to all, I have visited this sight couple of times and I just became a member yesterday.
This is a wonderful and well set place. I have read a lot of posts and have found good info.
I would like some help with a project that I'm going to do. Please lend me your expertise.
1. I want to get a lap top and run Windows XP or 7 . That I know to do but, Could you please let me know the
minimum requirement (Processor, Ram etc...) that I will need on the lap top because I'm going to get a used one.
2. The reason I'm getting a lap top is to watch a TV program, through the laptop to my tv.
My desk top is in the basement and the TV is upstairs. (My desk top has windows 7)
Not sure what kind of wireless router to get and how to setup.
3. If there is any other information that i need to know please let me know. The TV program i need is on website
that's online from a different country.

Thank you.

Okay.

If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:

1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Any wireless router will do just make sure its over the £55. Anything less will likely break or be no good.

Which country are you in, where is this tv channel coming from (country) and is the channel on copyright? Can you go onto youtube and view the program on there from the official youtube group. (CompanyVEVO, xxxVEVO etc.) if so then you will have no copyright issues.

Hi Mercury,
thanks for giving me the info. :D
My wife like to watch these dramas that's from our country (SL).
I want her to sit in comfort and watch them rather siting in front of the computer monitor.
No problem with the copyright. It's a legal website.

I have been keeping an eye on some used laptops. There are old and new ones.
Could you please let me know if its to run XP what the requirements will be.

And once again thanks for your help.
