So here it is, now they employ idiots instead of coders.

Known breakages from the update

MICROSOFT ONE DRIVE
MICROSOFT EDGE
MICROSOFT OUTLOOK
MICROSOFT MAIL.

So far it seems everything with WINSOCK attachments has been affected.

Have any more new on this post, please add to it.

Try the new 26H1 build. I am using that right now and all is good.

Another new PC and a new Windows install, 26H1 Pro

Though I do not use any of these apps.

MICROSOFT ONE DRIVE
MICROSOFT EDGE
MICROSOFT OUTLOOK
MICROSOFT MAIL.

Have to say Im on

Other than two update K packs that refused to go in and had to be reset and then installed all is fine and dandy on my system

This could of course be a scare tactic courtesy of someones AI for an advert on the page. But on the off chance it is a real event let us know the issues you have. Hopefully a solution will be forthcoming out of the Microsoft camp.

MS is starting to suck a lot now.

Luck isnt a factor in programming. The truth of the matter be told, they are running out of new things to do to warrant having a new os each two year period. Someone with a bit of knowhow, could finally and permanently get the OS to be chip based. Buy the motherboard the OS is on it. Sell them in different flavours if you must.

Graphics cards are reaching their limit of tolerance. Nothing is going to get faster then the speed of light or higher than optical light frequwency, but at that time span of frequency currently it isnt possible to make devices to act on instructions in the billionths of milliseconds this speed demands.

Options are moving more from home based systems with air cooling to Quantum mechanics solutions at near absolute zero temps and imagine what that would do to your desk if it got loose.

MS have been pushing and pushing to make the old seems new again. Games want more and faster graphics, 2 million frames a second isnt possible. The human eye doesnt get the flow right and hence your get image smeering around the object you are concentrating on. Try it look at a car on the road the pedestrians go out of focus.

Electrons only travel so fast and that is believed to be 80% speed of light and they can only move on a finite surface of a strip of conductive metal, movement causes heat and fristion hence why we have coolers on processors. After a certain speed and time air or water becomes useless to cool anything moving so fast. So we go to Cryo cooling like in your freezer. After that your looking at Liquid Nitrogen

Each level of cooling comes up with its own set of unique problems, like nitrogen, we breathe it every day, yet at liquid state it can freeze us solid.

Microsoftt has already made the switch from programmers to Consuner advertising, whats coming next will be here by the end of the decade, OS on chips you install whgen you build a machine. Spinnihng platters are being phased out, not fast enough,

Im happy with my computer just as it is I dont need 1400 FPS and processing spped of 20 THz it does as is needed.

I have a suspision that soon the home PC market will become as stagnat as the Console market. Last massive increas I expect to see before I depart this realm is the introduction of x256 processing, Im already running a machine with 64GB of ram and whats going to be coming will be a minimum machine state of 300GB min to cope with the new 256 bit stuff.

Ive seen the birth of Computers and Id like to see the rest of it.

Don't forget higher frequencies themselves past 1 MHz produce polar vibration and heat. This is why over-clocking needs more heat sink dispersion. The only saving grace is the newer thin wafer CPUs technology. Less electrical demand, therefore cooler running. I thought the (cough-cough) AI market would demand lower power thin wafer technology since they would be (cough-cough) deploying on such a large predicted scale.
