It appears that MICROSOFT have just announced a watershed moment.
WINDOWS 11 will download and install without a TPM chip. It is now just frowned on seeing as there are millions of users that wont say goodbyr to windows 10 and Microsoft have suddenly thought ah we may have gone over the top with this.
Just to see if they are lying, I have a 2018 laptop that wouldnt pass happily to load and run WIndows 10 let alone 11. Downlaoded the ISO of Microsoft site. Rufus onto a Stick, wiped the drive, deleted all partitions.
Shoved the stick in and now what, it completed the installation on a Ryzen Acer laptop with 8GB memory, and now because i did it without the TPM 2.0 chip in I get a small watermark near the clock telling me this computer doesnt meet the requirements for perfect performance, no s**t it worked fine on WIndows 10. Just to check, I have talked to my friend who has a windwos 10 laptop samsung whatever brand with 8GB of ram and a 1.7 clock speed. She did the upgrade from 10 to 11 without a hitch.
It appears that people have voted with the lack of response to going on windows 11 and just said no !!!
