Cannot duplicate 3 or more Displays

IDK Why windows/microsoft limits the ability to duplicate one display into three or more displays when the hardware is capable.

PC has 1 vga, 1 hdmi and 1 display port, and each port is connected to a monitor. Windows duplicates only to 1 and 3, 2 and 3, or 1 and 2*. Instead of duplicating 1 screen to 2 and 3.

And I actually use HDMI splitter which doesn't seem to properly work BUT why won't windows allow when there's an available hardware the can support it either way?

Windows isn’t limiting your hardware — it’s just a restriction in the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM).
Windows can only duplicate a display to two outputs at the same time, no matter how many ports your GPU has.

That’s why you can duplicate 1→2 or 1→3, but not 1→2→3 simultaneously.

If you need true triple-duplicate, you must use a proper HDMI splitter or a DisplayPort MST hub, because duplication beyond two screens can only be done outside of Windows.

Duplication controlling also depends on which type of Graphics card you are using.

I had an old system with a pair of GTX980 Ti cards in used to happily run 6 monitors at a time, 3 on each card. One HDMI + 2 Game port, or 1 Game Port and two HDMI. Monitor duplication over this amount generally takes on a different animal and a Multi screen display is needed, feed from an HDMI on the graphics card to the multi display can give you a massive 64 x 64 grid of monitors or TV screens for display. We have one at work took me a while to wire up, but it has a 16m x 9m composite image across it using one of the multi units.

Now as this is going to beg the question Why duplicate screen, rather than extend or use mutli desktops. On this PC I have a twin screen setup with Desktops created for whatever job I happen to be doing, so I dont get distracted. Not that that happens at all anyway ;)
