What is the level of accuracy and truth in the answers provided by ChatGPT for general topics related to Windows, HDD/SSD/Flash memory, PC Hardware, consoles, electronics?

I usually use Windows Forum ChatGPT Costly AI Model

This is a difficult question to answer. It depends on many factors. The model you're using, complexity of the question, quality of your customized base prompt, and most importantly the quality of the question (prompt) being posed to the bot.

When I'm unsure of the veracity of its answer I'll pose the same question to Copilot, Perplexity, Gemini, or one of many other LLMs and compare the responses.

Always remember that the better the input is the better the output will be.

In all honesty, ChatGPT is aboust as trustworth as a Second Hand Car Salesman.

AI isnt Artificial it a conscripted set or scripts that chuck top answers from Keyword lists and associated paragraphs of information.

According to ChatGPT this year Our King is dead from Cancer, (news to him I suppose seeing as he is alive and well as ever) News is made up at Random. Its all based around a score system. Best score wins even if it is a load of dross.

I just migrated my Win 11 from an older Lenovo laptop T450 to newer (still refurb) T14. Chat has been very useful as tech advisor who will answer questions all day long. I used to get cut off on Free so I pay my $20 monthly. What used to take me hours sifting through forums Chat will collate in a minute.
Helped to explain hardware upgrade options and found prices and links.

Chat will make me verbose bulleted lists of steps to do...refine it, I test and report back, it comes up with the next step. It will write me a script which I run from Powershell.

Sometimes it gives outdated links but when I report it digs deeper.

Generally I'd say it's best tech support I've ever had!

I use it for general historical research; it will offer to pull out paragraphs and make summary documents.
It will give you answers from mainstream sources, but you can direct it to some non-mainstream site and it will cull answers from there too. Sure it may say this is a fringe opinion, but it will do it.
You can up your own texts to Google Drive and give chat permission, and now it will outline your books for you, or do Search within.
