The day has come and it wont be long till theres more.
OpenAI has said a teenager who died after months of conversations with ChatGPT misused the chatbot and the company it is not liable for his death.
Warning: This article contains references to suicide that some readers may find distressing
Adam Raine died in April this year, prompting his parents to sue OpenAI in the company's first wrongful death lawsuit.
The 16-year-old initially used ChatGPT to help him with schoolwork, but it quickly "became Adam's closest confidant, leading him to open up about his anxiety and mental distress", according to the original legal filing.
The bot gave the teenager detailed information on how to hide evidence of a failed suicide attempt and validated his suicidal thoughts, according to his parents.
Ive been spouting on about the dangers of AI being let loose to learn how to do all the worng things as well as doing the right things. I mean obviously every parent brings their children up to be suicidal adolescent teenagers who will listen to anything and anyone that aggrees with them any day of the week. Mental instability and being given something that claims to be Artificial Intelligence isnt a good idea.
This death is the first and it wont be long until there are more and more until people wake up and realise whats being taken away from them.
Im posting no links to track this story, it doesnt need to be advertisied, just do a search on your fave search engine for the kids name. Sit back and wait for more.
They Will come !!
