Micro sd cards

When i attach my 64 & 32 Gig micro sd cards which are not write protected windows says to format them ,then says windows couldn't format the drives. Any ideas please.

They are "soft" write protected, Windows won't touch them. I always keep a copy of EaseUS Partition Master on my system. It will delete the partition and reformat whatever format you need.
HP has a free program: HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool that is written for write protected USB sticks but should work on memory cards as well
