Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2024 install question

I have downloaded MICROSOFT Office PRO Plus 2024 v16.0.17928.20148 + Activator.
I'm used to these downloads having a setup executable but this one doesn't. It has a large img file. I have run the activator but it appears to have made no changes.
Any guidance on what my next steps would be will be greatly appreciated.

Double-click the IMG file to mount it as drive letter, then run setup from that drive.

Hey thumper, my activator(KMS_VL_ALL_AIO_v53) opens and immediately closes? I turned off windows defender. any advice? I've seen it mentioned for the MAS activator, where can I get that?

Surprise! You can't temporarily disable Defender any more regardless if Defender warns you it is disabled. Even though you disable real-time protection there are some programs it will continue to disable and remove (KMS for example). I haven't tried to permanently disable it, that's not reversable. My current workaround is to install a 3rd party A/V and whitelist the offending program. YMMV.

I have faced same situation. Caused by extremely long folder name with special characters.

0. Install MS Office 2024. but dont click on it yet.

Here are the steps I used to activate.
1. Disable Windows Defender from its settings page.
2. Copy the Activater (which is a batch file) and put it in a folder that has a short name not containing + | or any strange special characters used in naming the folder you downloaded.
3. If the Activator is flagged as threat by Windows defender goto defender settings and click on actions , allow and restore. this will restore the activatore batch file back into the folder you copied it.
4. Run the activator batch file as an administrator and then select option 2.
5. Office will be activated. and you will see the message as shown in the screenshot below.
6. After verifying that Office has been activated, Enable Windows defender.

It appears that this method only activates Office for 6 months. and the activation process has to be repeated after it gets expired in 6 months.

Install OFFICE 2024 without crack or keygen

Create folder on DISK C: MS OFFICE SETUP

1st Link: https://config.office.com/deploymentsettings

Insert the 2 files in the created folder
Start Button -» Run -» cmd
Commands in CMD (run in Administrator mode)
1st - CD\
2nd - CD c:\MS OFFICE SETUP
3rd - Setup.exe /configure Configuration.xml

I just downloaded Microsoft Office 2024. (03/06/2025) Hong Kong time.
It was uploaded 02/06/2025.
I scanned the program with Bitdefender Internet Security and in a few seconds it indicated "Clean".
I haven't installed it and don't intend to at this time.
I'm quite satisfied with Microsoft Office 2021
Here are the instructions:

HOW TO INSTALL ?
0. Disable your Windows defender or Antivirus. (Otherwise it'll cause problem during installation)
1. Download the MS Office.
2. Run "OInstall.exe" and select which MS Office you want to install.
3. Click on "Install Office"
4. Give it sometime and it'll install.
5. Now, to activate the MS Office.. within OInstall, Go to "Utilities" tab and click "Activate Office" button.
6. Wait for sometime.. it'll do its magic to activate office.
7. Boom! Product Activated.. Enjoy now.

You can also use activation script to acivate the MS Office
1. Go to "Alternative Activator" and extract the zip file.
2. Run the activator as admin.
3. Use it to activate your MS Office.

Me encontré con la misma situación. El nombre de la carpeta era demasiado largo y contenía caracteres especiales.

0. Instale MS Office 2024, pero no haga clic en él todavía.

Estos son los pasos que utilicé para activar.
1. Deshabilite Windows Defender desde su página de configuración.
2. Copie el Activador (que es un archivo por lotes) y colóquelo en una carpeta que tenga un nombre corto que no contenga + | ni ningún carácter especial extraño utilizado para nombrar la carpeta que descargó.
3. Si Windows Defender marca el Activador como una amenaza, vaya a la configuración de Defender y haga clic en Acciones, Permitir y Restaurar. Esto restaurará el archivo por lotes del activador en la carpeta donde lo copió.
4. Ejecute el archivo por lotes del activador como administrador y luego seleccione la opción 2.
5. Se activará Office y verá el mensaje que se muestra en la captura de pantalla a continuación.
6. Después de verificar que Office se ha activado, habilite Windows Defender.

Parece que este método solo activa Office durante 6 meses y el proceso de activación debe repetirse una vez transcurridos 6 meses.

ubique el renglon con la siguiente dirección: irm https://get.activated.win / iex
seleccione ese renglon y lo copie (control c)
abrir POWERShell
pegue el renglon copiado anteriormente y di enter
Espere y digite 2 luego 1
espere hasta que sale un renglon verde que demuestra que esta activado y listo

An .img file is a disk image—just right-click it and select “Mount” (or double-click it in Windows 10/11). This will create a virtual drive. Open that drive and run setup.exe from there to install Office. Only run the activator after installation.
