Windows10codecpack or windows11codecpack. AVI is now an outdated video system, so the Codecs need to be the source of the troubles.
Ive used and relied on the packs since windows10codecpack first got released as a variant for the KazzaLiteCodec set that used to be the nest for every fake video to settle in. These p[acks are regularly updated so they keep on top on industry standard Coder/decoder arrays. Especially the paranoid SONY ones. Use VLC player, free and works better than most.
Oh yes talking of "Paranoid" SHout out to the Osbourne family on the passing of the legendary Ozzy Osbourne, he will be heavily missed. Went to see his last gig with Sabbath this year. Very Sad.
