Mister. Windows is always changing and Defender must always be completely disabled. If small ammo can't destroy the target, use larger ammo. Multiple paths lead to the same goal. If you can't take one, take another. I don't use Office anymore but another program I installed this now for trial. I haven't used Office in over a year.

Yeah but. Many customers I had at the shop I managed were low income, not faut of their own, looking for work. Being a really big city, many of the jobs they were offered required either an email letter written in Word and most required minimal Office skills. The irony was they didn't have the money to purchase a full Office program. So the only other options were to go to the state unemployment office, make an appointment, then wait for hours to get access to a computer with Office or enroll in a course with a bunch of other people including no offense, many who English was a second language and progress was at a snail's pace or get in line at the public library if no one has messed up the systems before them. Many of these people were single parent families with little ones.
So here is a (usually woman) young parent with little children trying to make a better life for themselves. I was instructed by my company's owners to do all I could to provide these folks with a decent working system so that would not be an impediment to their attempts to find employment.
Now here comes Microsoft, Bill and Melinda, so benevolent. Yet try and get a working copy of Office to help these folks, and my company might land up in court getting our asses sued off. My predecessor did sell a system when they did business over the Internet, a system they insisted at the last minute needed a copy of Office to make the sale. The copy he sent had a fraudulent license. The purchaser was a Microsoft attorney and that wound up costing them a $50,000 fine and all court and attorney's fees. He was gone the next day.
So what is this mom supposed to do Bill and ex-wife Melinda Gates? Pissed me off and frustrated me. I needed my job so I promised to give up the cracking DVD forum, and never, ever distribute any pirated software. I am a man of my word.
