Here ya go.
Mostly stuff I already have installed on one or more systems and I am happy with this freeware in no particular order.
1. OBS Studio
Pretty incredible piece of software. A nice lightweight live video studio for streaming. Originally for gamers but very versatile.

2. BurnAware
Believe it or else I still get users needing stuff on optical media. Don't ask, I tried. Works nicely.

3. ImgBurn reboot (clean no OpenCandy)
The original DVD burning/copying/manipulation program. Written by the legendary'LIGHTNING UK!'
Why his site now bundles the download with OpenCandy is a mystery. DVDs are about dead anyway. Here's a link to an unbundled version.

4. AIMP
"AIMP provides all the basic tools you'd expect from a music player. However, it evolves into something special once you discover its special features. It supports more than 20 audio formats and 32-bit digital audio, and it converts between various formats, too"
I really enjoy this program. I have a pretty good sound system attached to my PC and the Sound Effects feature lets me tailor the output for my system. ( "I like it me." credit: Boozo Chavis)

5. CrystalDiskInfo
Most disk info programs are heavy slow and cumbersome. Crystal Disk gets in there and gets the job done in a hurry. Not a great diagnostic program, but let's you know of trouble in a flash.

6. EaseUS Partition Master
Still a great program even the free edition. Don't mess with this program unless you completely understand what a partition is and how a file system is constructed. Not a huge read and it's always good to learn something.

7. FastStone Image Viewer
To quote my best friend Kevin, "Opinions are like buttholes. Everybody has them and most of them stink"
Here's my opinion. Nice little lightweight photo viewer with some basic editing features. I like it and that's my opinion. Photoshop it's not and isn't trying to be.

8. KODI
I have to admit this is one fun program, runs on about any platform. On face value it's a pretty tame IPTV program.
But once you dig in and get some unofficial add-ons it gets fun and challenging with big rewards. I wouldn't dream of using the add-ons w/o a VPN. You shouldn't too.

9. 7-Zip
Yeah I know. It's had it's ups and downs with security issues in the past but they are patched quickly. Keep it updated. Does a great job.

10. TOR Browser
For some it's a gateway to the darkweb. I wouldn't know, i don't go there. A lot of sites block it. It's a curiosity for me. Can't hurt and it is amusing. No VPN needed for those of you too cheap to invest in one. We are talking free stuff here.
https://www.torproject.org/download/

11. Free YouTube Download
It's free, downloads YouTube and it's popular. Why they haven't been sued for aiding piracy is a mystery to me. It's free before everyone starts going BS on me for this one, Okay?

12. CCleaner
Honorable mention. Yes there is a free version. Surprise!

13. Rufus
VERY clever piece of software. Has revolutionized modern computing. A little cryptic to use so check out some instructions if you plan to go out on your own with this one.

14. MediCat USB
This is a repost. Super bit of diagnostics and utilities in one package. A must have for techs and anyone serious about computers. The author is a member here and huge props to the man. Be careful if you don't know what you are doing with this. Get comfortable playing on a toss-out Windows install in case you have a boo-boo. Enjoy.

PortableApps com
Not an app but a cool site if you aren't already aware of it. For me it's a lot of fluff but the utilities are very useful. Check it out.

Well that's all I can think of at the moment. I had some downtime today and I promised. Have fun!

Nice list mano :D

Great list, use alot of those myself. Going to have to try AIMP. I have been using VLC for my music player but I have a LOT of music and video files and VLC just doesnt have much of a playlist editor. I recently installed an old copy of Winamp on a XP box I put together to use some of this old hardware I have laying around. Nice playlist editor and some cool visualations and DSP/Effects. In case anyone is interested they are still working on it (slowly), you can get the latest version 5.8 (Oct 2018) Here. Can't really say how well it works on newer desktops but it run great on my XP machine.
I have been using Irfanview as my photo editor for years now. It's lightwieght, fast, and has plenty of plugins and effects and it's free (but you can always donate to Irfan, I'm sure he could use the Marks.
I tried EaseUS partition Master and it's a great piece of software, but I still have an old copy of MiniTool Partition Wizard 10 from before they evicerated the free version so I use that. Pays to hang on to those old downloaded install files. I know that now they have gotten smarter and usually all you get is an internet install stub and not a full installer.
If anyone wants to wander over to The Windows Club they have a large section of downloads. Lots of good stuff over there, definatly worth a browse if you don't have anything better to do. I like their Ultimate Windows Tweaker but it's a dangerous tool if you don't know what you're doing, you have been warned.
Well better get back to ordering the new capacitors to rebuild the crossover in these old KLH Seventeens I aquired. Can't wait to hear them once they're recapped and redoped. Wish I still had my Pioneer SX-680 to hook them up to.

ImgBurn reboot,CCleaner,Rufus and MediCat USB has been installed on my computer, they have been doing a good job.

it's called 'selling out'

partitions: if windows can't do it i usually just pop in a linux stick and reboot

pApps: once upon a time i had every pApp installed; then tried to back it up, nah. I have like 4 things installed right now on pApps... firefox, thunderbird, MediaPlayerClassic, GeekUninstaller

I'm still using the windows mail app though, for convenience; thunderbird was a backup to try to get yandex to work again, but it did not

I'm sure i've used all those except for medicat.

youtube: i don't want any of that on my hard drive, lol; it is on youtube, good enough.
i do like to dl some audio of full albums, but there's an addon for that, works good; audio is only max 160 kbps on youtube, so no big deal; not like it is flac LP vinyl download

i buy cd's and dvd's on ebay for cheap; everybody selling because they think discs are dead; but you can't get full quality online, usually

Is there a link somewhere to an iso of Medicat? Or does it have it's own iso to usb conversion tool? Never heard of it before you guys but sounds great, hirens seems to crash a lot of the uefi stuff but was awesome on legacy.

Okay well finally after going in circles for a bit I was able to download 6 out of 7 of the zip files but #5 keeps saying over limit on this file. Suggestions?

Sorry to hear that. Give me a little time I have a couple of projects going here.
I'll u/l #7 and send you the link.
Check your profile messages.

It pays to read stuff and not just skim it. Sometimes it takes on a whole new meaning.
Link was changed to file #5. SMH.
Must be the f'ing virus.

Sure you can. If you have the time, bandwidth and know where to look you can get unadulterated Blue Ray rips. Ripping and re-encoding used to be considered and art form. True group releases still show some pride and cred getting the job done correctly not one-click wonders.
There will always be screeners, telesyncs, cams and tv rips. I try never to bother with them but some folks want to brag they already saw it.
My ex bought 5 Blue Ray movies at a dollar store a couple of weeks ago. The hardware to play optical media is getting harder to find each day.

i'm talking about getting it legally, lol
.
I'm still not sure where I could get the 1985 version of The Scarlet Pimpernel with Jane Seymour, on disc that is. I saw it on vhs on ebay. Any ideas?

Was that movie a real stinker? I can't seem to find it anywhere and perhaps that's the reason it was never converted digitally. I don't recall any group releasing it either and I was active not that much longer after that movie was released.
Books I can find, audio books I can find, I even have access to the soundtrack but the actual movie?? No Buenos.
If I find it I will let you know. The fact that if it was never digitized means it not going to be available to download. The only way that would happen is if an original print somehow made it's way to a telecine machine. Highly unlikely.
I don't recall that film. Some subjects never seemed to hit the scene back then. You were really talking telecines or some kind of telesync back in those dark days and both required a lot of risk to acquire back then. Pre DMCA days and the MPAA was like a rabid dog.

why would you suggest that?
would i want it if it was bad?
idk man, you are making less and less sense to me
i'm going to go ahead and go, cya

just delete me plz, or add the button and i will do it

Dude you need to chill.
It was a 4:3 TV movie that's why I never ran across it in group business.. Not sure who put it on tape but it's probably a TV rip.
It's on YouTube.
