I can not do a lot of cmd things because I can't run as administator. Under command prompt I type whoami; it comes back with "Bosgame-voc29\shifle". My location is C:\Users\shifl>. I now go to setting Account. I see Russel shiflett with my email account and administator.

How do I give bosgame-voc\shiflerg admin privileges or change my active account to Russel Shiflett??

Good question. Who initially installed the current copy of Windows 11 and what version is it? That will at least give a clue why you are having difficulty assigning privileges.

I must include shameless selling in my signiature !!

netplwiz will sort out most issues, but on the off chance.

1. does the account you use have access to anything that could just as easily be used in another account?

2. Is Bitlocker active, if it is then disable it and wait for it to be removed from the drive. DONT BOTHER RESTARTING IT. It just makes for a system that once dead is bricked.

3. Before you do anything inc use netplwiz, backup your harddrive to an outside device DONT USE WINDOWS BACKUP or if you do youll get a nice Bill for doing so and it will be wiped off if it isnt paid, nice of Microsoft. Use it and oh by the way now we see youve used it you owe us money. AOBACKUPPER recopmmended.

No link and it's not gambling

4. Id recommend a purchase of a USB 3.0 Drive, time consuming im afraid but its safe and away from the prying eyes of microsoft if you have a spare internal drive then install that, wipe it then use it to backup your drive. Personally I use AOBACKUPPER to backup my entire 2TB main drive onto a spinning platter drive.

5. When done, Dont use any:-
Suspect Anti Virus installers.
Suspect Anti Malware installers
Installers you dont know where they came from.
Installers offering free trials and such, DECLINE or Just say no

6. When completed to the fullest, Wipe the windows install off the main drive reinstall Windows 10 or 11, to your choice. Images to do so are available on the Microsoft website for free.
If you use RUFUS to create a boot USB for this you can set it to run even if you dont have TP2.0, or something that Microsoft tell you your computer isnt good enough to run our pristeen software, go away and buy a better machine. Low spec machine can be installed with Windows 11 modded by Rufus. License is transferrable so make a copy of your key prior to doing all this.

Come back and tell us if it all went well. Buttholes that create junk software like to create account with butthole names so they can hijack your machine.

Yell if you need assistance.

My thoughts are always #6 unless there are VERY strong issues preventing you doing that.
You can patch the current install and mess with the registry, however who knows what leftover goodies are waiting to bite you in the butt.
Windows account ownership gets a little complicated in Win 11 vs. Win 10. You are far better served starting fresh and setting up exactly what your needs require. Mirror that install before you load much so you will always have that image for reference.

Windows 11 already installed on my BosGame mini. The software version is 25H2.
Version 10.0.26300 Build 26300

I think I have admin now. Basically I followed AFFASocial (guidingtech.com). I did it thru section on change group policy setting.
