I downloaded the Adobe Lightroom classic 2023 12.4.0 (x64) full. I have extracted the archive but the setup won't run, I get the this error message The installation cannot run as the installer file may be damaged. Download the installer file again. Any ideas on what I can do ?

Cheers Laslo

Hi Laslo,

Make sure that your antivirus is not deleting anything, then extract archive.
Our little Friend Windows Defender will flag and quarentine or delete some cracks on the way down when downloading. Disabling Windows Defender/Security is a royal pain. Search the forum for a solution, it's been covered many times although Microsoft keeps finding ways to prevent you from silencing this a/v program. No way to get rid of it in it's entirety. It's free and Microsoft doesn't mind since it gives them such low-level access.

Go Phillies!
