Try clicking on the screenshot, it will pop up for editing, etc. Just go ahead and save it, take note of the foler it is saving in. Or you can rename it something unique and odd and search the local drives for that title.
I agree, One Drive is bizzare. It takes over stuff that you never told it too. More Microsoft microengineering guessing what you might want. That's why I told Copilot to take a hike. It's just snooping around and what I consider making dumb descisions. Thanks but no thanks AI, I'll figure it out myself.
Thanks for the responses! So, nothing pops up for editing.
Initially I would do a screen capture from the print screen key, it gives options for cropping a rectangle, lasso, etc, or the entire image. Then it would just appear in the folder. Now it does not appear anywhere from what I can tell.
If I push the Window button and PrtScn, then it saves to the desktop.
I can snip and paste it elsewhere, but all of these other options are multi step, that is why the PrtScn button exists to eliminate the other steps.
So I have just tried to change the registry, and it worked to reroute the 'Pictures' folder, the 'Camera Roll', but Screenshots remains empty.
The Screenshots file {F42EE2D3-909F-4907-8871-4C22FC0BF756} was set to desktop, so I changed it to the new Screenshot folder, and still it saves in the manner I described above, the PrtScn button saving nowhere I can find, and the window + PrtScn saving to desktop.
And still nothing pops up for editing so I don't have an option to resave the file or track it.
I am hoping to entirely remove OneDrive but it pops up as the Default everywhere!
Thanks again, any more tips would be great.
