Hi Everyone, I am new in this forum and please sorry for my poor English. Left click on my desktop taskbar is disabled in my windows 11. I can't open Start Menu and search button option by left click even i have reset powershell being administrator.
So as the same i can't open sound icon by left click though right click is working properly on taskbar buttons. i can't open all windows security options as well. May be my system is infected by any virus...even my windows is getting and installing all updates properly.
Please help me if you can.
Thanks in advance.
Regards

That's an odd problem.
Try this: (found online) I fixed it! Basically, i did a "soft reset" on the mouse (when the mouse is unplugged, hold down left-and right click and insert it into a usb port. hold it for about 5 seconds and then release it) let me know if anyone else had this problem and if it helped!

Did you try a different mouse? Try going to device manager and uninstall driver and allow it to reinstall.

Otherwise, you got me brother. Good luck

Mice all operate the same. Generally they will have basic functions that do NOT require drivers, the left right, forward back and left right click are all standard DOS level calls on every mouse invented. Drivers add function like DPI and button masks.

Depending on the Exact Mouse type and model you have I would do a search on the manuafturers website for a driver package and reinstall it.

If that doesnt fix it, then unplug the mouse from the PC completely, hold the power button to shut it down for 5 seconds. Let it sit for 15 seconds. Leave the mouse unplugged and restart the PC, let it boot fully. If a windows appears telling you to plug the mouse back in, youve got a virus looking for it. Normally windows will boot normally and ignore the fact the mouse is missing. It will assume that you have a point and click device elsewhere.

Leave it alone for a few minutes then use the Start key and direction arrows to navigate to "Shut Down" and hit enter.

Once the PC has closed down, leave the mouse unplugged boot into windows again let the install settle down, then plug the mouse in. The pointer and button functions should be usable again. While in this itteration of Windows do a search for any speacial drivers needed to operate other than normal functions of the mouse. If there isnt any you can find, just reboot your PC and all should be fun and games.

Hope this helps you out.
